In the third installment of The Westminster Confession Into the 21st Century, edited by Ligon Duncan, Wayne R. Spear has two contributions comparing Calvin‘s view of the Lord‘s Supper with that of the WCF. I want to briefly review the first here, entitled “The Nature of the Lord‘s Supper According to Calvin and the Westminster Assembly.”

I just finished reading the first chapter of William B. Evans’s Imputation and Impartation – Union with Christ in American Reformed Theology, which – given the title – of course does NOT argue that Calvin was an American. It is a chapter on John Calvin though.
